Meteorologist Mari Ramos from CNN (DStv 401) signed off from the channel yesterday for the last time.
Mari was seen mainly during News Stream, which airs at 2pm CAT, and the hours around that show. She has been a part of CNN since 1999.
It is speculated that Ramos is just one of the latest victims of those laid off by CNN as part of their "reshaping" programme whereby they plan to cut their workforce by about 10%.
It is unclear at this stage who will be her permanent replacement.
