While international channels like CNN are dependent on people from the region calling in to the channel by phone or Skype and on pictures from news wires like Reuters, NDTV is able to not only have a few reporters on the ground, but had many shows anchored from Nepal quite soon after the first Earthquake hit. Some of their reporters have been embedded with recovery services and provided a first hand account of what is occuring.
