eNCA and other South African Broadcasters Win Big at 2014 Promotional, Marketing and Design Global Excellence Awards

On the 12 of June, Promaxbda held their annual Promotional, Marketing and Design Global Excellence Awards in New York and South African news broadcaster eNCA walked away with a major award at the event.

The news organisation won Gold in the News/Information Program Campaign category for their excellent Keep Out campaign which consisted out of the excellent promo, embedded below, that ran on the channel.
The organisation beat Silver award winner CNN, who were nominated, and subsequently won the silver award for their excellent campaign around their new US breakfast show, New Day. The launch of Seven Sharp from TV New Zealand rounds out the top three.

Another South African broadcaster that won big at the awards was sportscaster Supersport who won both Silver and Bronze in the Art Direction & Design Sports Program General Image Spot for their Absa Currie Cup and Incoming Rugby Tour campaigns, respectively (both were done for the sportscaster by Thackwell and Whittaker).

M-Net also grabbed bronze and silver in various categories for their on air promos, most prominently their Garynet campaign.
